Scandinavian design has its own aesthetic expression and appearance. The foundations are purity, simplicity and naturalness, themes which recur in the design language and choice of colours and materials.

However, design is not only about appearance. A distinguishing feature of Scandinavian design is that just as much emphasis, if not more, is placed on function and ergonomics. 

We never compromise on the choice of materials, components or functional solutions. Each detail has a purpose, each solution a reason. Functionality is first, and with it
comes a long life span, low energy consumption, environmentally friendly construction and user-friendly solutions. The simplicity is clear in the clean, scaled-down exteriors

ASKO's harmonised design appeals to many people. We have been awarded two prestigious prizes in 2006. We were Platinum Award Winner in one of the world’s biggest design competitions, ADEX, and were also awarded a Design Distinction by American I.D. Magazine, a design publication. Even so, nothing warms our hearts like hearing from satisfied customers.
